About the event
Overview:
The arboretum's plant collections offer an expansive and vibrant variety of trees and shrubs suited to the Midwest. The landscape is home to 2,500 plants and features a labyrinth, as well as a pond, playscape and picnic areas. The trails are mowed grass and hilly. A walking stick might be helpful. The Overlook Pond Accessible Trail (.5 mile) is a smoothly paved ADA compliant trail.
Activity:
At 10:00 AM, Nora Hudson will give a short talk on labyrinths before leading a 5K walk. The signage is not great, causing the decision to have a guide. However, you are free to roam the 141-acre site on your own.
From Noon to 2:00 PM, the group will meet in the Vista Room for social time. Please bring your favorite snack. Tea and lemonade will be provided. The Vista Room is located in the office building to your right as you enter…
